Event Rules:
1. A team consists of 5 players
2. Prior to the start of the round, teams will agree on the “starting end” and “anchor end” of the table.
3. Prior to each round, opposing players should show each other their cup filled to the fill line. Referees will assist in the event of a dispute.
4. Play begins with the opposing first players (those at the “starting end”) tapping cups. This is known as the “Gentlemen’s Tap”. Each first player will then drink the beverage in their cup, place it FACE UP on the edge of the table, and flip it FACE DOWN on the table surface.
5. Play continues with each successive player drinking and flipping (one player at a time) until all cups have been flipped. The first team to flip all of their cups wins that game.
6. The second game of the round will begin with the second players on each side of the table and end with the first players (the new “anchors”).
7. In the event of a tie (both anchor cups hitting at the same time with neither “settling” before the other), all players on both teams will face off at the same time. The tiebreaker will begin with a Gentlemen’s Tap between each of the five sets of opposing players and continue with all players drinking and flipping their cups simultaneously. The first team with all five of their cups flipped wins.
8. All disputes will be settled at the sole discretion of the Table Official or Tournament Director.
9. It is expected that all players will exhibit the utmost respect for the staff, judges, other players and the mission of Stonewall Sports Philadelphia. Anyone exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior or caught overtly cheating will be removed from the venue and their team disqualified from the tournament.
