Position Title: Stonewall Sports Charlotte Community Outreach & Recruiting Director
Length of Term: Two Years
Voting Board of Directors Position: Yes
Compensation: 100% Volunteer
Position Overview:
The Community Outreach and Recruiting Director shall be responsible for managing the Corporation’s presence in the community and its relationships with individuals, organizations, partners, sponsors and donors. The Community Outreach Director shall coordinate all community service events, and any other outreach event sponsored and non-sponsored by the Corporation.
The Community Outreach and Recruiting Director shall be responsible for developing a plan to recruit members into the organization along with the sports officers and other Board of directors.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and promoting service opportunities for the organization
- Soliciting volunteers for Stonewall Community Events
- Developing and executing a recruiting strategy for organization
- Developing and implementing a diversity and inclusion strategy for the organization
- Developing and maintaining relationships with local LGBTQ+ and Ally organizations
Qualifications:
- Reliable, honest, able to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent program planning, organizational and leadership skills.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in many mediums: Email, Social Media, Phone, In Person.
- Timeliness, dependability, and self-starter ability.
- Critical thinking, Strategizing, and Decision making.
- Understanding of Google Drive.
- Proficient in MS Office products.

About Stonewall Sports:
Stonewall Sports is an LGBTQ & Ally community-based, non-profit sports organization founded in 2010 that strives to raise funds for local non-profit organizations. Our league values each player, volunteer, and our founding cities for who they are and what they bring to the leagues community. Stonewall Sports Charlotte, founded in 2014, is an LGBTQ and Ally not-for-profit sports league serving over 1,600 annual players and giving back over $150,000 to the local Charlotte NC community. We strive to develop a well-connected and diverse community through organized competition and social or fundraising events. Our Vision is that EVERY person should have the ability to feel comfortable playing organized sports and that we have the responsibility to give back to our community. Our Mission is to provide an inclusive, low cost, high FUN sports league that is managed as a non-profit with a philanthropic heart.
